Scio Fire District:
In 1888 the Scio Fire District was formed out of local community neighbors
The Scio Fire District is nestled in the lower region of the Willamette Valley. Located nearly 30 minutes Southeast of the state capitol, Salem Oregon. Covering 101 square miles of rural agricultural and forest lands; with a population of approximately 5,000. Response from three stations the district includes coverage of the City of Scio, Crabtree, and Bilyeu Den. Providing fire protection, fire prevention, emergency medical services (EMS), hazmat response, water rescue, and wildland operations.
Shared between the three stations:
- Three Engines
- Two Water Tenders
- Two Type Three Engines
- Two Brush Units
- Two Rescue Units
- Two Command Vehicles
- Two Support Vehicles
